Representative engagement

A recruiter copilot inside a staffing platform

Matching, screening and outreach assistance embedded in the workflows recruiters already use, with people controlling every decision.

Context

The situation

A staffing software product serves recruiters who search large candidate databases, screen applicants and send outreach every day. Keyword search misses good candidates, screening is repetitive and outreach is written from scratch.

Problem definition

How we framed it

Rather than a separate AI tool, the product needed AI inside the workflows recruiters already use. We framed it as three capabilities with clear human control: semantic matching with explainable scores, screening assistance that summarizes fit against the job, and outreach drafting in the recruiter's voice, all measured on recruiter adoption and time saved per requisition.

Delivery

What we built

  • Semantic candidate and job matching with explanations of why each candidate ranks where they do
  • Screening summaries that compare a profile against job requirements and highlight gaps
  • Outreach drafting with tone controls and templates, always reviewed before sending
  • An AI gateway with cost controls, logging and provider abstraction inside the product's architecture
  • Fairness testing and documentation to support customers' hiring compliance obligations

Similar problem? We would love to hear it.

Operating impact

What changes for the business

Recruiters find candidates keyword search would have missed, spend less time on repetitive screening and outreach, and keep full control over every decision and message. The product team gains a reusable AI layer for future features.
